Hello Friends.
Who doesn't like to have a second home ?
Well, this is the Castle of "Hohenschwangau", the second "Schloss", of King Ludwig.
He didn't need transport to reach, as it is about an half hour walking from his "Schloss Neuschwanstein".
Look at the Swan (Schwan) at top of the Castle, the little lake behind the Castle is the original 'Swanlake' from the world famous, operetta.
Notice, this is only a part of the Castle, you can see from here.
Have a nice day, cant have it all, right ?
Jan

Hallo Jan,
Dit is aan prima foto, mooi scherp, lekker helder kortom aantrekkelijk door de fijne compositie. Die zwaan boven op het kasteel is een mooi detail.

Hi Jan,
Splendid perspecive of this nice Bavarian castle, wonderful architecture. The contrast between its green environment and the yellow painting is well seen, moreover the clear blue sky is perfectly exposed. Shapness and details are also excellent. Well composed photo, fantastic capture!
TFS.
Best wishes,

I bet King Ludwig didn't walk between his 2 Schloss - he would have needed transport, I'm sure!! But maybe his servants walked!!
Very interesting to see these castles, and yes, I see the swan

hello Jan

I like the sharpness and clarity of the castle from your f/10 aperture and under good light to bring out the contrast.

It is really a fine castle, but is it still used as castle or open to public?

tfs, bill

Doe maar Jan,

Zo'n tweede huis in Duitsland is absoluut niet gek, kun je heeel veel mensen over de vloer hebben.
Prachtige architectuur foto, en dat geel en rood steekt mooi af in de groene omgeving.
