[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
...unfortunately about 20 minutes from home.


The second photo of my little HDR/Tonemapping-"project" i started posting
yesterday. and again it is a combination of 3 differently exposed
photos: normal, over- and underexposed merged together
with QTPFSGUI.
normally you should of course use a tripod for this to
get all 3 images "straight", but i do not like to use
one and the program aligns them by itself.
with the 40D turned on automatic exposure bracketing (1
1/3) and highspeed the 3 shots are on the memory card
within half a second. due to my slow computer the
processing afterwards takes about 30 minutes per photo
(although i do not shoot raw).

the result is not everybodies taste as it looks unreal,
but at the moment i like it and i am trying it out on
many different objects and places.

While I am not too keen on the effect if the clouds, I love the way the water and the architecture are affected by the tone mapping
