[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
"Ruhleben", one end of the U2 line of the U-Bahn. This station is "Sophie-Charlotte Platz" one, after my visit to Charlottenburg Schloss, a beautiful palace in Berlin, built for a beautiful woman ...

Here my interest is for the very cold atmosphere and light, the clock on the wall and nobody around ...

A very special mood in Berlin underground, a sort of place where you can imagine that some spies may have a secret meeting ... but fortunately the cold War is over !

The Berlin transport authority, BVG, operates bus, U-Bahn (underground) and tram networks. And there is also the S-BAhn (overground railway).

:) belle composition Sylvie! J'aime beaucoup cette colonne qui divise la photo, le sombre plus en avant et cette lumière sur le fond qui met bien en évidence l'horloge et le panneau. Comme tu l'indique, ambiance froide, très médicale. Bravo! :))

Hey Sylvie,
You really do create some very interesting compositions of reality. I do find this a very cold atmosphere. Normally I don't like centralized parts in a photo but you have accomplished this well in order to show the environment with no human element whatsoever. That's pretty cool...no humans. Yet everything in this photo shows how sterile the environment is when no humans occupy the space constructed by humans. I guess humans are not very colorfull sometimes. And yes a definite space for the meeting of spies. Has the potential for a location for some type of film. Good cold shot!

Ambiance froide, sans vie, très moderne...parfaite photo de ce style.

Voila des ambiances comme je les aimes... Encore une fois bien vu. Ceci dit, j'aurais retravaillé les niveaux, je trouve le contraste un peu plat. C'est certainement dù a la légére sous-exposition de la photo. Je fait un workshop.

belle représentation un peu froide des couloirs de métro, un ordre parfait, pas un papier qui traine, cà me fait penser à la dicipline de fer des Allemands?
U 2 est-ce l'affaire de l'avion méteo us qui fut abattu au dessus de l'URSS ? Ou l'histoire d'un certain groupe à bruit.
Ou les uboats des Allemands qui firent un carnage dans presque toutes les mers ? En aurais-je oublié ? Peut-être le nom de cette ligne en souvenir des sousmariniers.
Ste sylphide tu aurais du amener un peu de verdure.

Great moody photo it could be taken by the house photographer of U2 Anton Corbijn. I made a workshop of this photo a little bit in his style how he sometimes made photos of the band. I hope you like it Sylvie.

Bravo, tu as bien reussi a capturer l'ambiance des stations de metros berlinoises. Cette ligne me rappelle les nombreuses heures passer dans le metro pour aller au lycee francais a berlin. As tu creer un theme sur les photos dans les metros a travers le monde?
C'est toujours interessant de voir les stations, rames et personnes. Bien que le metro pourrai etre un endroit de rencontres mais personne ne se donne la peine de se parler ni meme regarder.

A nice composition that is seen/captured well, the emptiness sets the mood as described, seems cold and lonely as intended.
