| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I am aware of the fact that this photo will be controversial...
Most viewers will not like it, because it is similar to my photo "flowers2" in the way that I play again with light and shadow and the predominant of the two is the shadow, here even in the foreground!
It is contrary to what we believe flower photos have to be like. Here, it's contrary to what these are usually like - the bright part being at the back and not in focus, the sharp part in the foreground but dark...
So why have I posted it?
One category of photos I post are photos I just like a lot and find beautiful, that I'd like to share with you...
The other category of photos I post here are photos I still like, but where I feel they need improvement and am not sure how...
The third category are photos (like this and "flowers2") that I like and that are "good" according to my personal taste but where I know that they will not be liked by the majority in the community... Call it a little provocation, or a challenge to your viewing habits, I don't expect you to agree with my taste, but I'd still like to know what you think of this photo...

HI Frank, I like this and to me it looks like a painting of a busy garden, and I like it. My kinda garden too. Straight away, I alway ask, what is the flower?? Now I just look at the busy wall of colours, and then looking closer I see the sun shining on the tips of some of their tiny petals and how they curl upwards.
I think looking at any flower, the beauty of creation shows through in so many ways.
So good job!
Janice
Hi Frank,
This is a thought-provocative shot. :) I do like it because of its originality, which is hard to find in most shots of flowers. On another hand, I wish bright flowers in the background were a little less exposed.

I must say, that you have better pictures and this is in my opinion a little bit too dark, but it´s still a nice picture to watch.

This is very interesting and a creative idea, Frank! The composition is very nice, and the colors and lighting are good too! So......you're wrong! I do like it! ;)
