Hold On Me
----------
It is amazing what a little person can do to your life. They all start tiny and unprotected, grabbing whatever you put to their hands. It is amazing what they can do by just leaning in your arms (doing practically nothing), how soothing is their presence even when they shout and throw things (oh yes in those little precious hands).
When they go to sleep you can stare them for hours, I mean if you find the courage to stand straight at the end of the day.
This is one of the best shots for me that I took while my little girl was sleeping in my arms and suddenly grabbed my hand so tight I almost burst to tears in emotion.
I have almost never cried for a girl, but this is the only person in the world that I have no control over my emotions. Her first illness, oh I will never forget crying over her little bed (it was nothing serious, just a 38 C fever).
Yes I am one of those dubdads I used to make fun of in the parks. And I am truly enjoying it till me and my wife finally drop dead every night to sleep.

Hello Nick..the simplicity of your photo made me open it..and the tight crop of the two hands..well done on that. I like this photo, because of the beautiful light, and also for the meaning, and the emotion that I see here, and what I read in your words...thank you for sharing that with us. There is no love like that of a father/mother for their child..wonderful.
Bravo

Very simple and very good phot!thanx for sharing...
Hands is a great subject, too much feeling in it, try some different angles and directions
vertical horizontal, one hand placed on the other like your previous post from a different angle like sandwich. Nice colour and exposure, you could loose some details, by using a shallow dof and a big distance, lets say over 100mm to focus the grip and not on the detail of the hand.
cheers

Very touching notes and photo. It reminds me of my nephew when he was still a baby. Wonderful frame. Great choice of color.
