[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Ok, the summer is still here but the temperatures are somewhat normal, about 25C! Today the sky was partly cloudy the moment I took this shot.

I like the green sea waters and the clouds on the sky.

Some infos about this bridge:

Evripos. In ancient Greek the term evripos meant straight (channel). In the 19th century the bridge shown in the picture above was built on Evripos. This bridge was destroyed at the end of that century during the widening of the channel.

Strong tides occur in the channel and also the rare tidal phenomenon of the sea water flowing like in a river for 6 hours towards one direction and for the same amount of time towards the opposite direction with a pause of about 9-10min. The velocity of water is 7-9 Km/hour. This happens for 23-24 days per month while the rest 5-6 days the direction of the flow and the velocity of water are irregular and they do not obey any rule. This remains under investigation.

Hi Mpampis ... I found that sooo interesting about the flow of the water. Thanks for adding that unusual info with your photo as it adds to the beauty of it.....
I really like the POV your chose..putting the bridge to the right and the excellent framing with the palm fronds.. Also nice to see the water such a different color. I think the sky is rather dramatic with the clouds. Great post from you. Your photos are lovely....:O)

I have photos here, on Treklens, because of that bridge. What do I mean ? Maybe french girls who had a grandmother fond of Greek islands are all crazy or maybe there's a secret bridge between Evia and TL. Like the fourth dimension whose door's keeper is... you. I hope that everything is well in Chalkis.

Μ'αρέσει το φως, το χρώμα του νερού και ο ουρανός. Πολύ ωραία.

Φοβερή φωτογραφία με υπέροχο φωτισμό και καταπληκτικό βάθος. Τα σύννεφα στον ουρανό φαίνονται τρισδιάστατα και το χρώμα του νερού έχει αυτό το γαλαζοπράσινο που μου αρέσει ιδαίτερα. Υπέροχη δουλεια!!
