[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another picture taken at the little coastal village of Panormos on the north coast of Crete. Originally, it was a small fishing village but has recently developed into a tourist centre though it still remains quite quaint in parts and has not yet suffered from the vulgar glitz of Bali which lies a few kilometers to the east.

Shot in RAW and converted and edited in PSE6.

Hi John,

Excellent achievement!
My Congratulations.
Have a nice weekend,
Adrian

Wow John - this got some impact!

Rust is a lovely colour, and this anchor really hits you in the eye when you click on the thumbnail. The contrast with the blues of the sea and the sky is fantastic.

Great depth of focus with your favourite lens at full bore - and steep perspective, the two towers of the harbour entrance rapidly diminishing in size compared to the anchor, as the eye is drawn to the horizon.

One of your best.

Kind regards,

Peter.

Hi John,

The anchor kind of holds your attention a little but the small wall pulls you into the shot very nicely. Good colours and sharp details the pov and dof are great well done.

Regards
Jon

Hello John,

Your shot rekindles fond memories of our visit to this most beautiful of islands, when we stayed in Chania.

The blues of the sea and sky show why photography is delightful here.
I love your pov, with this strong anchor dominating the f/g and traversing the frame on a near diagonal.
The well judged composition gives the uncluttered sea and sky as a fine b/g for contrast against the rich, rusty colours.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)
