A picture taken from inside one of the many doorways in the outer buildings of the Holy Monastery of Arkadi, one of the most historic places on this beautiful island, and the site, in 1866, of a holocaust which claimed the lives of 864 Cretan men, women and children as well as the lives of over 1,500 attacking Turks.
Shot in RAW and converted and edited in PSE6.

Nice exposure,lot's of detail with nice colours and textures,excellent detail on the flagstones.

I'd have preferred to crop the top of the frame a little :)
