In memory of Les Paul (June 9, 1915 – August 13, 2009).
Les Paul died last Thursday at the age of 94 (RIP). He was a guitar and electronics mastermind. The Gibson Les Paul guitar bears his name. I was lucky to meet him back in 1992 in New Jersey. He was a very pleasant and polite person. I remember that he laughed when I told him that I was from Greece, he said, “Did you travel all the way here just to see me?”
“Vaya Con Dios” was one of his early recordings.
