Iconostasis
In Eastern Christian churches of Byzantine tradition, a solid screen of stone, wood, or metal separating the sanctuary from the nave. It has a royal door in the center and two smaller doors on either side. Covered with panel icons, it always includes the icon of the Incarnation (mother with child) on the left and the second coming of Christ on the right; icons of the four Evangelists, the Annunciation, and the Last Supper cover the royal doors themselves with Icon.

An icon (from Greek, eikon, "image") is a religious image or representation of an object, deity or sacred figure or event. Originally, in Greek, "eikon" denoted an artistic depiction of an object without the necessity of sanctity or veneration. With the passage of time, however, icons became popular religious tools, used within the Christian traditions of Eastern Orthodoxy, to evoke veneration and to educate the masses.

Icons are most widely used in Orthodox Churches. They are generally flat panel paintings depicting a holy person or object such as Jesus, Mary, saints, angels, or the cross. Other religions such as Hinduism also make use of icons (known as Murtis), which may be cast in metal or carved in stone.

In modern popular culture, the word 'icon' is used in the general sense of symbol — i.e., a name, face, picture, edifice or even a person readily recognized as having some well-known significance or embodying certain qualities.

nice wiht much couleurs and details

Hello George,

I would imagine that this was a difficult shot to take. However, you have delivered wonderful details and well saturated colours.
I think it would have been very interesting to take shots of individual sections. Did you do that?
I tried to crop the angel and present it as a single shot but the result was a little pixelated because of the severe crop.

Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hello george
Nice Artwork u've captured here, i like the golden tones which almost covers the 90% of the frame.
M not sure either its a little tilt or its a barrel distortion which is bothering here :)
