This is a 'birds eye view' of the lower town at Monemvasia (Malvasia). I really like this photo because to me it's very vibrant. The colours are very well saturated.

History Lesson:
Monemvasia dates back to the 6th Century, when inhabitants of ancient Laconia (now a Greek province) settled on a rock that had been split from the mainland by an earthquake in 375 AD. The rock offered a refuge from the Slavic invaders who dominated much of Greece from about 500 to 700 AD. Over time, Monemvasia developed into a major Byzantine trading port. The Venetians took control in 1464, when they built a massive fortress high above the town.

ps. I really didn't want to crop anything out as I wanted to capture as much as possible.

I hope you like it.
Enjoy!

This is a very nice shot! It's neat to see the layout of the section of town. I like how it looks like all the houses are crammed together. I also like that you took the picture looking to the right a bit, instead of straight on.

Thanks for the history note!

wow what nice & sharp photo, I like the colour of the sea, compo of the houses great, over all is good photo.

Yes the colours of your photo are really nice Constantinos. And I know who it is when our cameras as retoo smal for the scene... But you did a good job! I do the same trick myself all the time (I actualy have one in my gallery where I use the same ways: tilted the camera until I got as much as possible in the scene :)))

One thing one can do is to tilt back to the normal position and make a funny compositon out of it... But this is fine too

Congrats

tale cre, Stef
