[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the spot in the port of Rhodes City where the famous colossus was supposed to be standing. One must imagine the ship sailing between the legs of the huge bronze statue of the sun-god. The statue collapsed due to an earthquake some 70 years after it was erected. Legend has it that a Jewish merchant bought the broken pieces and sold them as souvenirs for a good profit. Wow, those legendary qualities attributed to my people, I sometimes wonder how I did not inherit them :)
Else, this picture has some of the essential elements of the Mediterranean experience: blue sea, blue sky, sailing, fishing, old cities and quiet.

Dear Tibi Galambos,
I like this relaxed air of Rhodes.
the light and the breeze in this sea is so comfortable for me.
if I were there, I would sit down on that stone and watch the view all day long. the time fits to paint this view.
