This is the view from the staircase going to one of the monasteries in Meteora. I though it was breathtaking, hope you like it.(Meteora #11)
Meteora is from the biggest and most important group of monasteries in Greece after those in Mount Athos. We can locate the first traces of their history from 11th c. when the first hermits settled there. The rock monasteries have been characterized by Unesco as a unique phenomenon of cultural heritage and they form one of the most important stations of cultural map of Greece.

Wooow...What a breathtaking shot. I'm afraid of such edges.
Good shot with beautiful sky, lighting with contrast between sky & mountain. Well done.

Hi Vassilis,
This sight is stunning! As I would like, one day, to visit this area. I have the impression to be at the end of the world. Very good POV and DOF. Congratulations! Annie

Good work Vas ( but shame on you, the lead in left below, you forgot to crop 1 cm more) A little sharper too. But I will drink a toast to this great Greece invitor Take care :-)

I love Greece and Your photos Vassilis. Beautiful view as usual. Thanks for sharing and have a great day:)

Lukas.

The little white something in the middle (looks like a building) give a good indication of the height. i can just imagine the amazing view. Another stunning photo from Greece.

Hi Vassilis,
Oh my dear! Not me... please! My fear of heights will kill me...
I love the different layers in the landscape to create perspective and depth, and the strong diagonal in the composition works fine!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Vassilis,

I like Mitra have no head for heights unless there is a very high guardrail. Wonderful composition, good colour and light. TFS,
David

Hi Vas,
Great shot as usual. Are you sure that you don't work for the Greak Tourism? They should be paying you for what you have been doing.
Cheers,
Sunil

Hello Vassilis, you really took it on the edge and it looks very scarry. It could give me vertigo ;)

We get the perspective and the hight of it.

Very well done!

Take care, Yan :)

A new one in the series I see my friend. So now I understand why the Travel agents in Holland are overbooking vacations to Greece.. had to do with you and Constantinous ^_^ Compliment(also on the note) and bye
