This is #18 of Meteora series, the hallway to the dinning room, with the traditional gongs for alerting the monks.
Meteora is from the biggest and most important group of monasteries in Greece after those in Mount Athos. We can locate the first traces of their history from 11th c. when the first hermits settled there. The rock monasteries have been characterized by Unesco as a unique phenomenon of cultural heritage and they form one of the most important stations of cultural map of Greece.

He Vassilis,
A great perspective, my friend!
Your point of view enhances the lines in the architecture, and the variation between brighter and darker areas gives a fine effect...
Well composed, good colours and details!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Vassilis,
You show us here how to use perspective. Particular the door behind the arc gives this picture an extra dimention. Great job my friend TFS!

Dear Vassilis
This is again a real' Vassilis Sinopoulos ' Art work
The soft colours of sandstone .. the diffrences between the lights ..the lead-in line left below.. it all combines this to a very good photo! TFS and greetings to the girls and you from us ^__^

John

Very nice perspective, Vassilis, with nice details. However, I am wondering if you should have moved slightly to the left to avoid including part of the table on the right or move to the right to include more of it. Otherwise, nicely done!

Hi Vassilis,
An another beautiful view of Meteora monasteries. Your POV gives an excellent perspective and the filtered light enhances the serene mood. I find very interesting the form of gongs. Their sound must be impressive! Very well done! Bravo! Annie

I find the door the first focus point and then the eye leads back to the ghong. Most propably because of the light at the back. the shade on the verahdah creates a peacefulness that associates well with a monastry.

Hi Vassilis...
...love these earthly colours and textures. They add so much richness to the photo. Superb angle of capture. Well seen and composed.

Beautiful as usual, βασίλη... The first gong here reminds me of a bicycle part, though ;o).
Love the compo with the low wall leading the eye to the 'end' of the path.
Very well done, TFS.

Hello Vassilis, nice pov on this monastery and the lovely earthy tones.

I like the composition here and the door in the bg. It is very interesting with the empty hangers. Lovely place.

Beautiful play of shadow and light Vassilis. Great composition too love the way the wall leads the eye into the shot.

Peter

Hi Vassilis,

Excellent POV with a strong lead in line!

Very well done
Constantinos

David

Gong!? At first look i was believe it miss a piece... The one like a handle of huge cauldron, have the holes for the bolts.
But recycling piece is workful.
In exemple, i notice that a empty bottle of water like the one in the office on the distributor sound greatly as a tamtam...

Those piece probably sound well too!
It's different, surprising.

Hi Vassilis, love the light and tones, hope you're well, thanx, M, (*_*)

Hi vassilis, Sells all this beauty of Meteora, I saw in TV other day, a film that showed this convent, inside, I remembered his pictures, the shown places were wonderful, it was just filmed with a lot of snow. But it didn't lose his charm and beauty.
Congratulations for the shot, beautiful close-up!
