These ones and much more were scattered on a steep hillside. The local Archeology museum was undergoing some reconstruction and these ancient statues had to put up with the winter cloudy sky...

It seems strange to see these priceless antiques abandoned in such a haphazard way. Your picture captures the atmosphere of somewhat gloomy neglect very well I think! Nicely composed and exposed for maximum effect.

Hi Anton, Looks like a very interesting place to visit. Shows some old statues which appear to have been broken by enemies after invasion or just the ravasges of time? Excellent topic. TFS. Murray.
