Very nice photo!!! I like the POV that has a small tilt. Makes it look very dynamic, like you were fallowing the monk's brush. :)

Thanks Ruud for putting this post up. This is a keeper in my favorites. You captured the intense concentration of the artist while he is following the age-old tradition prescribed that still practices early gothic religious art. Icons are not just paintings, but are imbued with the spirit of the saint so depicted when the proper rituals and rules are followed by the painter. Very 'Mystical'

I missed this one, it's wonderful and so interesting. I also would like to see him painting with my own eyes, I like this paintings so much, also have made one some years ago, it wasn't easy.
