[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I call this artwork because the craft of the humble sign painter is highly underrated. There are many fine examples in Greece. Unfortunately this is a dying form since the world prefers plastic.
Samothraki is one of the remotest and least visited of the inhabited islands of the Greek archipelago. I t has one of the highest mountains of the islands - Fengari (the moon)' from where Apollo watched the siege of Troy.

Dear phil simmonds,
this panel and your photo of this are very excellent and tasteful.I like the old panels those were written by hands of artisans.and those are so precious now.
