Compared to noon in Malaysia, when the overhead sun is blazing down and the heat is on (no shadow at all), this place is much cooler with slanting shadow.

Very interesting street scene, and a time when you can really stroll along endlessly with a camera slinging across the shoulder.

This is such a very realistic shot - a true capture of the feeling of the area -- one that I recognize from some of the old neighbourhood streets of Damascus too
