[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is #8 of my Meteora series. This was the way monks use to go down or come up in order to avoid the difficult rocky mountainpaths. Also when they had to get their supplies up to the Monastery. Today there are stairs or roads going close to most of them.
Meteora is from the biggest and most important group of monasteries in Greece after those in Mount Athos. We can locate the first traces of their history from 11th c. when the first hermits settled there. The rock monasteries have been characterized by Unesco as a unique phenomenon of cultural heritage and they form one of the most important stations of cultural map of Greece.

Hi Vassilis,

That's a very modern elevator... :))
We should have the same one installed at work, too... :))
Beautiful POV with great detail and texture!
Well done!

Constantinos

Oh Vassilis this is stunning! The master piece of the series so far. I love it. Good depth and clours
Very nice my friend ! T F S
John

Thank goodness for new fangled roads, lol, imagine a poor monk with fear of heights using that thing. Great contrasts, clarity and POV, wonderful textures too. TFS,
Fran

A very intersting shot. Good sharp details and colours - especially considering the POV!

Wow, what a view! Wonderful warm colous and deatil.

I certainly wouldn't want to be using that "modern elevator", I'm much happier with my feet firmly planted on the ground!!
