MY FAVOURITE DISH...FISH..?

This was at the market in Kritza, in Crete, I had only ever seen such colourful fish during my diving, never lying on ice at the fishmongers'.
Amazing colours, so vibrant, just had to take a shot.
Walking around the local market of Kritza, from the sounds and the shouting, I could have been at Leeds market, but, the produce of course was very different and the presentation also, we have become used to so much here.
In Crete, they only sell the veg and fruit of the season, the catch of the day.
Another great experience, with lots of kind people, letting you taste the different cheeses, looking on in disbelieve as you stick the lens right up to the fish in ice, just to capture those beautiful colours.
What's normal, everyday life to one is the exotic to another.

Have a colourful day and thanx for visiting, Magda, (*_*)

Hello Magda...
Yeah... they really look like fresh, I can eat this!
My eyes were for some reason drawn to the triangle created by the eyes, I wonder why??
Have a pleasant Easter week-end!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Magda

A superb food product shot, in the market. Marvellous color, sharpness, & lighting. Bon appertif!

Brilliant vibrant colours. I can see why you were attracted to this straight away. Gorgeous.

Magda.
Hoewel ik niet zo'n visliefheber ben, moet ik toch zeggen dat dit wel trekt hoor.
Mooi van kleur.
Heel knappe foto.

Hi Magda,

Well presented and composed. The colors are vibrant, beautiful capture.

Mike

you would love to see a rainbow trout then...their rather colourful (Hence the name rainbow...) and they taste decent as well.

as for the technical aspects, their's nothing really wrong with it, although perhaps the angle and pov could have been a bit more artistic...on the eye of the fish for example...

anyway have a good one magda!

Hello Magda... I do like the exposures in your photographs...They are perfect... What are you doing for these special exposures; is it automatic exposure or manuel?; what type of exposure metering do you use: matrix metering,...?

The exposures of your photohraphs always impress me...

Christine.

Hi Magda,

Very good shot here, I love the bright colours and the fresh looking fish preserved in the ice. Excellent capture!

John

Hi Magda,
This a Wrasse species I am guessing of which there are many, they are reef dwellers - the colours you have captured are perfectly accurate. Takes me back...... These little ones are also very fresh telling by the colours still apparent on them. Nice shot! Good note about the "triangle" by Pablominto - sometimes we see more in a composition.
