Once you go on a nostalgia trip, there are things you just have to get out of your system. And this post is the result of several small trips down memory lane in recent weeks. Such as some posts of old Ford Mustangs, talks about faded old photos from the bottom drawer and Diana "clovestar" creating a theme group called The Way We Were. So this is the 1965 Mustang convertible that my wife to be and I drove to Greece in 1974, combined with a shot of us in front of the cottage on the beach where we spent three months while I got to write a (never published) novel. I am still looking for better shots of that great car, but I don't seem to have any.
technically I just tried to get the best out of a couple of very faded 2x3 b&w photos developed and printed in a back street of Nafplion in 1974.

Per, I remember the "Stang." This is amazing work for a nostalgia pic.
maybe the edges of the tiny pic on the left could have been soft.
Excelent composition and work.
Well done

Mike

Very nice contribution the the clovestar theme Per...must recall some fine memories!!for those days you had a very flashy car ..in Luxemburg..did not see this car in my youth a lot ..very nice shot and pp per ..good work !!

What happy memories Per - and a great montage! Oh to have those carefree days again. Agree with Mike that feathering in the inset picture would have been good but the message is the main thing with a shot like this.

Cheers, David

Look at those "bell bottoms" !! Woo Hoo So happy you found a shot of your 65 Pony. This is a great "memory lane" collage and I hope to see many more on Treklens. I really enjoyed this, Per.... :O)

haha...the good old 70's again...and this year even i have a chanse to remeber things...like the green wallpaper which has left a permanet scare on my mind hehe. Hm...they way we were...i guess i would have to go back to the 80's then...another nightmare to look at those photos...me and my braiser lol with hair like Arnold Schwarzenegger (no i never NEVER went back to that hair dresse again)...nightmare
So, you not only take photos and play in band...you write too. I love to do that as well. Started on a childrens book a while ago but i don't seem to find the time to do all the backup checks i need to do. I will finnish it one day, i hope...As for publishing, one can only wish hehe. Thanks again for sharing you trip on memory lane with us.

good shot of you and your gf with the car! I remember browsing my parents old photos the same style of clothes...the 70's ...the difference no 'Mustang' ....good memories to look back, thanks for sharing...

Excellent work... realy a classic. Color tones help you achieve this.

Nice work, I'm sure it brought back many pleasant memories.

Ah Nostalgia, this was a great car, lovely and very personal posting.
The whole is well done.

You really did walk down memory lane Per. This is a great contribution to the new theme. You both look so young and hippie. The car is just great. I have always liked those. I like the insert, and the way it appears to be just roughly cut and placed on the background image. It is very authentic looking, as back then we didn't have Photoshop to make the edges all smooth and round. I see you had long hair back then, and very blond. Love the dress blowing in the wind.

Must have been an adventurous "holiday" in Greece back then, Per... This collage evocates the period brilliantly: clothes, haircuts, and even the car. Thanks for sharing these memories with us!

Oh my...this is ..wow. The all mood on your image and words almost makes a hole in my stomach with this weird knot it makes on it. The nostalgic feeling is something that sometimes i have some dificulty to find out if brings me a happy or a sad missing feeling ;) Yes...cause i get into that when i remember the greates episodes of my life..and knowing they are «only» memories sometimes makes me a bit sad cause ..you know..they are past..they are on our memories album...but at the same time it brings me such a warming thing inside..cause the nostalgic feeling only comes to me on great moments that built me as a being, on those litle things that make life worth it, on something that has a special meaning...
And this..prrrr..this is a dam nostalgic piece of Life, my friend.

I would say, very nostalgic.
