Mmm... I love it, Βασίλη... as you say, excellent detail and a very nice compo too. Amazing colour in the eye, didn't know some birds of prey had blue eyes.

Yes but so focussed that we don't know what bird it is? Except for a specialist i presume... But i'm not.... :)
The lines give a nice effect... The beak detail feel curious and the eye please!

Yes, it is amazing! Love the shot! Before I had any idea about digital and resolutions etc. I had taken shots like this with my (then newly aquired) DV camera. Quite disappointing after to find out that stills from a DV cam are very bad! Had an eye of a pelican, which looked absolutely evil! So next time, I'll take my (TL) learned experience and DSLR camera with me. In the meantime, I'll enjoy shots like these!

Hi Vassilis, what a good up-close picture of the bird. Excellent clarity and those feathers look so real - I feel I could reach out and touch them. Those lips also make me think it is a kookaburra!!

Very detailed image with nice sharpness & colors.How do like that hard to get lens is it worth it? I cancelled mine cause we went for holiday and mine never came.I ended up buying a Tamron 28-75mm SP instead.TFS:)
