I like the mood of this photo. But I think your original portrait of this model was better. HEre the details are lost because of the increased contrast and the unusual positioning of the light. The expression is interesting as you say but the shadows of her hair that fall on her face hide that expression and keep us from grasping the full feeling of it. Overall, though..it is a very artistic portrait. This could be a really good photo by decreasing the contrast a bit. Then see what it looks like. Congratulations, though. Nice work!!
