Hello John,
here all an enormous herd of mules for the moment of attack for the rise towards Santorini.
But like you, I think of these poor animal assembling the slope under the burning sun with the load of tourists several times per day. For my part, if I were to go there, I would take the cable. What you want I have heart not to make of evil to an animal as with human.
How is Clementine, your love lady mule ? You have news, a telephone call, a postcard ???

Hello John
This is an excellent picture but I think you should have taken more care with the ethical aspects here. Your title might seem to be promoting the misuse of these animals for example. Just about every animal rights organisation in Europe and Greece has attacked the use of mules in Santorini.
The best policy is to boycott the island.
I hope you did not get overcharged here. I found that the Santorinians have Euros instead of eyes. I have been to 45 islands but as you can see this is not one of my favourites - despite its unique beauty.

You reminded me of a trip we took some time ago with Tanya and we took mules to take us up. Tanya's was impatient and left running and I was still on the ground!lol!! She was scarred but it was one more memory from this beautiful island. I like your shot, including the whole gang and your creative PP work!

Hi John: Nice colorful line-up - 5 Euros for a ride, probably worth it, judging by your previous post. Notice some of these mules have muzzles: I don't want to draw conclusions as to why, lest I get into trouble with my better half, lol.......
