Well, an essence of Greek landscapes anyway ;o).

Hills and mountains, a usually deep blue sky and sea, and an immense sense of tranquility and space. And all those tones of blue...

Taken from the Palamidi castle at Nafplion, a view into the Gulf of Argolis (Argolikos kolpos).

Tech talk

In-camera compo. No levelling, no cropping, no nothing ;o)

Adjustment layers for levels and curves. There was a slight haze in the sky, which I couldn't correct entirely.

Downsized for TL and framed with PS actions.

Hi Frank,
Yes, this image of Greece is really like I imagine this wonderful country! You are right don't correct the slight haze in the sky. That emphasizes the mystical mood which surrounds this legendary country.
Very beautiful! Bravo! Annie

Hello Frank,

I love Greece! It feels like coming home when I arrive there! This photograph reminds me of why I like it so much!

A beautiful, calm seascape using many tones of blue. The land appears to be rising up out of the sea!

The branch is a nice addition.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hi frank:
An excellent use of your polorizer:)
The composition that has included the branches to the side, make this a superb capture with excellent details and outlines!
Beautifully presented!
David

Sorry Frank ...

Groetjes
Jan

and why should you want to correct that haze Frank.
This only enhances the mood in this lovely picture!

Hi Frank,
Nice composition of a pretty scene. I like the perspective setting from the leaves on the left and the slight haze adds a feeling of warmth and peace to the view, so for me, no problems at all.
Great depth and nice muted colors and light.
Great job.

Wilt

Hi Frank
Peaceful and quiet an ideal place for reflection. Lovely POV exposing a beautiful horizon and the tree inclusion gives it a touch of immediacy and participation.
Well done
Argiris

My area is a lot better for diverse captures!!! Next time just move a bit to the north

Hello Frank,,
At last I see your first post from Nafplio, which as expected is very lovely! The pastel like colors, the panoramic composition, the excellent POV compose a great photo, that could be a poster!
Great memories my friend,
Greetings,
Vassilis

Good show and on 400 posting now Frank
The photo , as it looks to me , could use a little more contrast ..
specialy talking about he end - horizon

The addition of the branches is a good idea.. it ads the 'depth'

This could be NZ! The haze reminds me of home on lovely hot days. And the view of the islands and blue waters remind me of home too.
It looks very beautiful Frank, a lovely photo
