[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
For me a sunset is always the most magical moment of the day... So when Vassilis and Tanya told us we'd visit Sounio and we'd stay to watch the sunset, they made Ann and me very happy - thanks, my dear friends, to make a dream come true ☺^☺...

This was one of the last pictures I took of the sunset, a minute or two before the sun disappeared behind the hill. As you can see, she passed through a cloud layer which caused a slight blur...

Tech talk

Preprocessing
Exposure compensation : -1 stop.
White balance : Cloudy.

Postprocessing
Cropped vertically from a horizontal picture.
Adjustment layers for levels & curves, but made only minor corrections.
Downsized for tl and framed with some PS actions.

I really like the effect of the clouds in this photo. The photo is terrific with the deep reds and yellows. It's mesmerizing to view. I can only imagine the beauty of actually being at the site.

Goeie compo en, uiteraard, mooie kleuren.
De waas stoort me niet, integendeel zou ik zeggen.
Op zo'n momenten zou ne mens verliefd willen wezen ... maar zoiets slijt naar het schijnt
met de jaren.
Nu ik moet bekennen dat, zelfs na 2 jaar,
Niky en ik nog steeds niet op elkaar zijn uitgekeken !
Integendeel ! Elke dag kijk ik net zo graag door haar als de vorige dag ...

Hey Frank,
A different look at a classic sunset. You can almost feel the heat on this version of the sun.
Very nicely captured and presented.
It's pretty powerful this way as opposed to "just" pretty.

you did well I think in cropping this to a vertical image - it works very well. I also appreciate the framing.
You captured a very moody picture with warm tones.
I love the silhouette of the mountain against the warm colours of the sunset.
The clouds in front of the sun add one more interesting detail.
