Calamari sunset
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I was sitting in a restaurant on a small Aegean Island when the sun was going down. I noticed some calamari been dried nearby and had my camera in the pocket so I hurried from my place and managed to get this photo before the sunset.
The image is as shot. Minor crop.
Wiki of the twelve islands: The Dodecanese (Greek: Δωδεκάνησα, Dodekánisa, literally "twelve islands"; Italian: Dodecaneso) are a group of 12 larger plus 150 smaller Greek islands in the Aegean Sea, off the southwest coast of Turkey, southward of the island of Samos and northeastward of the island of Crete. They have a rich history, and many of even the smallest inhabited islands boast dozens of Byzantine churches and medieval castles. |

Hi Pentti,
Nice composition, we still see some details on the calamari despite the fact that the sun was behind its. But I think that the horizon is slightly tilted to the left ... TFS, and keep on bringing your camera with you !

Hi Pentti,
You've captured it well. Nice scene ! The only thing is that the water is flowing out of the ocean but the subject is great.
regards, willie
