After the yummie shot of a full plate with rooster cooked with wine + pasta, the best 'companion' is a plate of vlita. The salad of course. You can choose herbs, season salad (cabbage salad, lettuce or cauliflowers boiled with lemon, salt and olive oild) or the classic cottage (horiatiki) salad with tomatoes, onions, pepers, olives and of course the famous greek feta cheese! :)

Vlita (sorry, I don't know the english phrase!) are wild herbs you can find everywhere in Greece (and in other countries I supose) and we like to eat them boiled with olive oil, lemon and salt. Some other people like them with vinegar insteed of lemon (I like them with lemon anyway).

These herds are the perfect "medicine" for the people who has stomach problems and they have many many vitamins! Are good for the children also. A pure product of greek nature.

Excellent DoF here Μπάμπη, but you should have moved the spaghetti dish out of the way ;o).
I like the green hues in the dish, to which the lemon makes a nice contrast.

Kalimera, Mpampis (you pronounce it Babis, don't you)!
Wonderfull salad (we call it meseta if there is alcohol on the table, don't we?). I use rice instead of pasta, but the rest is similar. Tell my, my friend, do you pour some olive oil over it? And we add some green onion and a spoon of tomato paste... And, of course, rakia or ouso;) And we say Nazdrave (cheers)!
Efharisto poli!
Anton

I just love your food, well done, thanx, M, (*_*)

sorry...out of points yet again...

Kalispera Mpampis,

Mmmmm a week ago I enjoyed this in Lefkada! Is it "mangold" or "spinat" ? I saw it in the menucards as: Mountain green.
The shot is very good with the yellow of the lemon... I became hungry...
