Miskolc Today

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Hi folks,
Miskolc today... A little playing with a photo taken a few hours ago (see workshop), I tried to symbolize the past, present and future of my hometown. An industrial city, suffering from economical recession: lots of unemployed people, hopeless life, a place of disgrace...
Photo was taken from the look-out tower on Avas hill. Except for framing and re-sizing I mostly used Nero Photoshop, at least for "olderizing" (sepia, with adding noise, scratches etc. You can set the amounts in the software, as usual). I tried to create something like a postcard from the 1960's, when this city was on "top" (if we can talk about ups and downs in the communistic era, not only downs)...
Thanx for stopping by and commenting. Yours, László |

Hi Laszlo,
The sepia and other effects gave a very special atmosphere to it. Indeed, an old look.
It also give a kind of smog look. So, I can say: experiment succeeded.
greetings,
Joop!
Hi Laszlo,
I see -by reading your note- what you are trying to do. But I am wondering if B&W without the noise would not have an even greater impact.
It does not sound to good "a place of disgrace" - a city does indeed look sad when the economy no longer flourishes.
TFS
Take care
Els
Olá Lazlo,
Um belo cenário e uma acertada escolha do tom sepia.
Gosto do contraste entre as construçőes do homem e a obra divina, representada pela caeia de montanhas.
Ótimo trabalho!
Parabéns!

Hi Laszlo, Very effective PP to give this an historic apearance. The WS shows reality and is worth comparing. TFS. Murray.
Hát igen, ez Diósgyőr... A szerkesztést nagyon eltaláltad, a szemcsézettség fokozása és ez a szmogos szín telitalálat!
