Definitely an improvement on your previous shot in terms of composition - this is tighter, more disciplined in its construction and subject, and much better in its exposure control too.
As discussed last time, shooting with a wide aperture - possibly 'portrait' mode, depending on your camera - might give a shallower field of focus?
