Nicely sharp. Interesting subject. Lighting is good. Background OK.
So - where's the problem? ...
Lacking creativity? Yes.
Poor composition? Yes.
It just looks like there has been no thought about this. Just slap it on the table and shoot it. Then, prior to posting - nothing.
So, despite the good points outlined at the beginning, it ends up being - boring.
Most of us have seen a pine cone like this before, so there's nothing new here. The subject needs to be 'worked' to make it a photograph. I imagine it's entirely possible to take this on as a 'rescue mission' workshop but I couldn't post it until Thursday next at the earliest.
I'll have a go. See what happens?
