I was on the way to my friend's house to do our weekly skate session ;)...but on the way driving through the Pilis mountains I had to stop my car for awhile to take some shots in the forest!
I'm more of a summer guy, but hey, the cavalcade of autumn colours are always stunning me! :)
I hope you enjoy it too!

PP: Well, I didn't mark HPP though it took a while to make it look like this :) The reason is because it's not "heavily PP"d but a little! :)
You know, less is more!! :) You decide!

So: I made 3 duplicates of the original photo, each one on different layers! I left the bottom one original! The second one is made with a brownish tone but only the middle hill-side! The rest is erased to keep its original colours!!
Then I added only 20% opacity to this layer...that's not much, isn't it!? :)
And here comes a tricky part: The upper layer with the original photo is put in inverse (Ctrl+I) and set the layer with 20% opacity to "colour burn" to darken the layer a bit!
And the last step was to make a small omni light effect to the original (bottom)layer to enhance the sunrays and still not as drastic as to put on some upper layer! Easy as... :)
Oh yea, and sharpened some parts...

CheerS!

Hey ToM,
The result is amazing even tho I lost you in the whole PP process.. It was way too confusing. I like the repetition of the trees, the sun beams and how they look so good in the foreground. Excellent picture ...and I am adding it to my favs. TFS

Very impressive!
man its not HPP but it is artistic and creative one..
good compositioin, colors are cool.nice omni effect..
thank you so much for education us and sharing us,
love
mugush

Excellent Tom - sharp sunrays and the extending shadows of the evening are the winners. Quite some work on PP and that it has enhaced the impact of the picture is quite obvious. Very well done.

Now that you've explained the PP, i dont know if the PP is better or the original shot already was. Whatever the situation, the results is very good. Cheers

Thank yo for a great photo! I didn't quite follow the PS mods either, but the result is excellent.

Paul

Hello Tom,

Absolutely beautiful! The lighting is just stunning and the POV very dramatic. The line of trees is what really makes this shot with excellent DOF. Your pp work is very well done. TFS

Interesting forest with all of these well aligned trees, ToM. You have captured a very nice light through the trees like the spoke of a bicycle wheels; it also creates some light in the foreground of the picture. I am not certain if I like your centered composition on this one but I cannot really explain why...Well done!

Sorry I have run out of goodies for the day!

You bet I am enjoying it, especially that peculiar color of the sky in the background. Such an unspoiled scenery, peaceful and with enjoyable colours.

Great work ToM!

Szia ToM,
I am sure you recorded my "footprints" as well, I was amazed by the colours of Pilis as well, and made some walkes in the forest, so I enjoyed the sun coming through the filter of the autumn leaves as well :)
Nicely composed image, well done & congrats!

Hi Tom,
just amazing skills that you have!! I just browsed thru your gallery, and I am amazed at the quality of your pictures.
I can only learn from your pictures, your notes (detailed)

About this picture, great pov, great PP. I like how you captured the sunrays, and still manage a blue sky.

Too bad I can only give you 2 points... :-(

Looking forward to more of your pictures.

Chiquito, I'm a novice and your post processing details fairly overwhelmed me but I must say that the overall effect is fabulous. I love this shot and I'd be interested to see the difference between the before and after.

This is truly an amazing work. It's just brilliant, the scene, colors, light. Splendid and one of a kind.
Successfully done!
