Hello friends!
Hope soon I'll have more time to check TL and we can take this as a comeback! :)))

My colleague has got down deep in his thoughts at work when I made this shot with a 300mm tele-lens. He's a web-designer and sometimes things aren't going on the easiest way! I hope his expression shows it well! :))

Actually this is the original crop, the only PP was to convert it to B/W to enhance his attention...
I've used a plug-in in PS to imitate film cameras. I set this photo to Fuji Neopan 1600 to get this grainy result.

Hope you like it!

Well done Tom, the position goes very well with your title. B&W, a good choice for this kind of shot IMHO.
Happy of your return Tom.

Hi ToM,
Welcome back, it's been a while since we saw your photos. The composition is great, and the mood is captured well. What I am not sure about is the focus. I would like to see more of it on his left eye.

Katya

Welcome back ToM! You captured him so well. Seems things really not going easy. I like the blur as well, emphasize the mood.
Elif

So good to see you, ToM. I had been thinking about you recently noticing that you had not been on the site for quite a long time. Very nice portrait of your friend. A bit soft on the focus but you have captured his expression of concentration & puzzlement very nicely. Well done and hope to see you more often!

Hi ToM,

Good to see you again!
Seems like you caught his expression very well! Great choice in B&W and the POV is perfect! Great shadows & tones.

Well done

Hey Tom!! where have you been hiding? I missed you!!
Yes, I like this. Its a very moody portrait, and adding grain was a good choice. I like the lighting and contrast. He really looks absorbed in his thoughts.
Well done and welcome back!!
hugs
Marija:))

very moody ...
has he managed to fix the problem? he seems so concentrated on that ;o)
very well done Tom

Hi ToM, good to see you here again. You certainly caught his deep concentration, or maybe frustration! The filter you used works well, and the B&W shows up the shadows better. Good job,
Janice

He might only b a web designer but with that level of concentration he could be pondering life, the universe and everything (as Douglas Adams once said). Like the tight crop and the use of black and white with grain to emphasise the effect. Can you mention the plug in you used?

Andrew

Beautiful pose, well caught and cropped.
