[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This nice fungus is Macrolepiota mastoidea, an often picked and very delicious mushroom, which can be found on fields and in the forest, too.
"Macrolepiota" genus is having 11 species in Europe (taken from the book series "Urania, World of Plants and Animals", from the book "Inferior Plants"). On the other continents I don't know, but You can surely find it on Wikipedia.

I exchanged the "original version" (with overlay and typing) to the "original photo" (no heavy post-procession, just the scene as it was), because neither me nor others weren't satisfied with it.

This specimen is full of details, almost ornamented...
The close-up work is well done, as the impack from the background is minimized!

Voyage to the center of the Earth is the title of the movie coming back to my mind seeing this one . A fine composition here with this low POV. It looks huge . I like a lot the details of the mushroom. Razor Sharp as some of my colleagues use to say !

This is good Laszlo, very impressive. The mushroom is very sharp and the BG is soft, making the fungus stand out so well.
