All the self portraits that I see on TL give a huge inferiority complex. I remeber your earlier one and presume this is from the series. For hand held ..and 1 second this is pretty good.
Am still trying for an idea and will put one hopefully soon.

I really like the way you preserved the blue in your eyes. Good work!

I think the processing is stunning. and because this is a mood photo it is not necessary to be as sharp!

I especially like the blue eyes in there... what a stare! Great stuff

Looks like you are looking discretely through some blinds, I do like the stripes they add a hint of mystery to the photo. TFS

well you shouldn't have hesitated ;o)
that's a lovely SP, very original and moody. I like it a lot :o)
especially the PP, the choice of the gradient map and this soft orange colour and this window shade kind effect… the result is amazing :o)
I just wonder how it looks like the original version of the shot …
The only think I can't make up my mind about … the eyes. Very nice blue colour but ... I don't really know …
Anyway, I'm looking forward to the third one ;o)

Well, this is a good shot, considering the facts :) Composition is excellent and your "try to look bad" look is very good!
You know what's most interesting to me? In the past few months, some of my best shots were: one with light from the blinds crossing the skin, one with emphasized blue eyes, and a self-portrait! :)
You used all that factors here in a good way, congratulations!

Are you serious? THat kind of light was obtain by the flash between your fingers? Hey that's cool! I imagine them more diffuse if it is.. I enjoy very much the result!

Another very original & well done self-portrait, ToM. The stripe makes the whole picture very mysterious and you really seem to be observing us through the blind like a spy as your eyes are looking toward the side. Beautiful blue eyes! Excellent!

Hi Tom,

This is a really nice portrait. I like a lot the warm tones and the flash worked really fine! I like the idea. Avoid the burned effect when having a flas straight on the face.

Yes, eyes are beautiful, but the expression, or should i say spark, in your eyes is even more interesting and fits well with the title - it is somehow threatening, dangerous. I like the inordinary approach you used here, both technicaly and artisticaly / message wise. It hints nicely to your creativity.

Hi Tom,
Superb PP with so much skill! makes it look very artistic. However, regarding the image, I prefer the other one (just a matter of a personal taste, of course :)
Now I am waiting for your next SP where we can see the whole of you face ;))

This is great, Tom, really. I don't mind the lack of sharpness, quite the contrary...it adds to the myserious feeling and mood. What I absolutely love about this shot is the way the silhouette lines go on the wall too.
