[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Just before reaching Landmannalaugar, on the F228... the desert lay under the sun, rocs spread overall like witnesses of the Earth giving birth to itself, sand everywhere, loose sand in which the bikes' wheels get drowned in spite of all our strength. That track turns round the foot of the Hekla volcano, and one cannot cycle without feeling the weight of its presence. Incredibly impressive, in this dead landscape. We almost felt like an entire Orcs army would suddenly pop up from behind a hill...
