[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Horses are everywhere in Iceland . When a visitor wishes to photograph one , a few or a herd of them just pick your BG and find the nearest field and you're bound to find what you want .I chose a waterfall ,lol ! I stopped by this field with a few horses browsing around and because the Icelandic horse is good-natured and playful it was easy to get this one's attention just by my presence near the fence so he trotted toward me and after patting him a little on the nose he remained pretty still and i was able to compose this photo .Hum ,,,
1/50 iso 100, f/4 , a liitle sharpening and contrast added , as usual during this trip i did not get too much cooperation from mother Nature !
Thank you for looking,
Carol

Hello Carol!
Beautiful hors portrait and wonderful Landscape from Iceland!
Lovely colours and perspective!
Best regards!
Lili

PS - I hope one day I will visit Iceland. :)

Hi Carol,
What a composition of the Icelandic horse and the waterfall on one picture! Great shot, with nice sharpness and details, you found out very well what to capture. :)
The setting of 1/50 , f/4 worked here quite well and brightness is also nice.
TFS.
Greetings,
Kristof

Carol,

great !

I have two " but"s
- the stripe on his (?) nose I would try to soften a bit
- sorry that I wasn't there with you ... LOL

Greetings
Jan

An interesting horse portrait/landscape shot. Colours are bright and details sharp. It does have a slightly surreal feel to it, almost as if the horse has been pasted onto the background (I know it hasn't) - probably down to the contrast between the colour of the mane and the background.
Thanks for sharing
Mark

Salut Carol.

Superbe composition. Très sympatique ce petit ami : mon chat n'est pas toujours aussi coopératif comme modèle. ;-) Avec tes prises de vue, tu donnes vraiment envie d'aller visiter ce coin du monde.

Cordialement
Pascal-Eric
