Rivers of Sand...
This picture is taken in the north of Iceland on one of the many thermal fields (Námafjall) with steaming mudpools near by Myvatn and the Krafla area. All the minerals in the earth give color to the sand and the warmth of the ground is cracking the field looking like a desert.

Hoi Essie,
Mooi kleurrijk perspectief, de warme kleuren geven de foto een fijne stemming. De lucht is mooi dreigend vastgelegd. Het zal niet zo zijn, maar krijg de indruk door de schuine lijnen dat de foto wat scheef staat (is mijn indruk hé).Anyway a fine colourful impression of Iceland!

Hi Anna,
Splendid view from Akureyri region, you managed to capture this stunning scene perfectly. Nicely saturated colours, excellent sharpness and details. Somehow it seems a bit tilted to me, but I know that Icelandic landscapes can be very tricky. :)
Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to visit that northern part of the country, but I hope to do it some time in the future.

Geweldige kleur hier Anna. Goed scherpte en POV. De wokens zijn ietwat storend, wat je daaraan zou kunnen doen is boven mijn petje.

A peculiar picture with the sand creating abstract patterns and great colors. Really eye catching with very good perspective.
