nope... not the old blues singer, but real muddy waters...
In the northern part of Iceland there's a place near Mývatn where there's a lot of volcanic activity and the earth there seems to be alive. Even walking around in some parts make you feel insecure as the ground appears to move under your feet!

What you see here is a small "puddle of mud" (noooo... not the rock band, but a real puddle). The mud here steams and boils and it's moving all the time. Quite some opportunity to shoot some nice abstracts eh??
All in all the image isn't very sharp, but I think that really adds to the "mistery"...
Let me know what you think...

Cheers,
Anneke

P.s.: while driving through Iceland, we have played a lot of music. Nooooo, not Muddy Waters or Puddle of Mud, but very appropriate cd's of Pink Floyd! ;-)

Hi Anneke!
To me, any photo that evokes a reaction is a good photo! My first thought was a SQUUEEEAAL!! HAHA! Then I was wishing I could put my feet in it! How nice it would be to soak my feet in! Really nice smoothness to the tones, just love the ins and outs of it! Still squeealing and squirming here!

Hi Anneke,
I like this unique picture of the volcanic mud reaction. It looks like a group of plastic masks floating here. Nice choice of color using B&W. The image is sharp considering your subject is underwater. Nice work.
Regards,
Kevin

Hello Anne

This is really superb, I love the choice of greyscale here and the image has such good texture.. really squidgy ;-) well seen and captured and nicely suited to the black framing too

TFS regards Helen

P.S. Yip Pink Floyd are just off the wall !

Hoi An,
Superb capture, great sharpnes on the muddy bubles (great camera handling). Pink Floyd he, yeah that brings you in the mood: Wish you were here ! :-)

Yes Anneke, driving in your own car has a lot of advantages, like bringing with you your own music - like travelling with you and discover what Iceland has to offer - would not mind Muddy Waters...

Gorgeous texture !

thanks,

Hi Anneke,

Haha, funny tight shot! Nice freeze of the mud at 1/500th of a second. But a slight bit too dark for me. The black and white works for me though!
Nice story. Didn't know there was a rock band with that name! ;-)

Greetings!
Dennis
