Howdy folks!

Today I take you back to Iceland. To the Selfoss, a 11mtr high waterfall just about 1km upstream of the famous Dettifoss in the north.

Selfoss is only 11mtr high, but it's need-shape is really very impressive!
What I liked most when we were out there, was the dried up puddles... A short while before we were there, there must have been more water and on the edges I found different puddles, some still had water in them and others had already dried, like this one.
I really love the shapes and colors and the sunlight on them was magic!

Cropped this a bit tighter and that's it.

Enjoy!
Anneke

Hoi Ennie,
Prachtige structuren, bijna zwart-wit. Mooi scherp en met een fijn contrast zo dat alle verschillende lagen goed zichtbaar zijn. Een mooie prut-foto :-)
Hans

Good morning Anne

A superb shot here such excellent detail and texture, I agree the sunlight shining here looks really good. Have a great Sunday.

TFS regards Helen

Hoi Anneke

Realy creative with great colors.TFS.
Have a good sunday my friend.
Greetings

Yes Anneke this is amazing - I have no idea of the scale of this picture - a puddle must be small, but this could also be a huge river canyon with those lines on the rockface.
Prachtig!

Anneke,
Indeed a fine detail shot - I too am occasionally fascinated by dried up puddles (and the like). I also like the virtual scalelessness of this image. OK, we can guess the scale, but it's hardly a leap of the imagination to see this as a great canyon. Indeed, I've seen more than a few great canyons which look just like this.

Regards
colin

Hallo Anneke
Grandioos vastgelegd.
Mooie lijnwerking.
Gr Jos

Hoi Anneke,

David

Hi Anneke,

At glance, I lost orientation . .
Lovely texture and composition . .
Great idea presenting it . .

I love all the swirls and textures here Anneke! Nice work on this one! Really a nice flow to the whole shot, a super view too! It's hard to tell just how big this place is... I need a human standing there! LOL!
B-)
