Beware ! Hot pool...

Hveravellir, center of the country, on the F35 track. Mind the sign, which really reads "80-100°". The water of the pool comes from a hot spring nearby where the volcanic activity boils it, and it really comes out at a hundred degrees... it is mixed with some cool water from a rather normal river in order to have a gradiant - i.e. an average temperature. Funny thing here, as well as in Landmannalaugar for instance, is that when you bath the temperature changes every 2 seconds according to the mixing of the 2 different streams. You soon get quite used to it but in the first place its a weird feeling. That was taken at midday, but my formal attempt to bath there was at night, and I didn't see the sign, therefore went straight to the point where the hot water was poured down in the pool, and I just thought I was boiling myself to death - yes the mixture was rather temperate when I entered and then a rush of boiling water sized me... In the end the average temperature must be around 42-44° I think - I mean it was dead hot, and I couldn't stay more than a couple of minutes...
Check there and look for the "photos" section for more images.
Any comment welcome !

Oh my! I can see you red as a lobster in that hot water! What a cute note. I like your POV on this photo with the warning sign in the foreground that leads the eye to the main subject, the pool. Very good work on the DOF. Congrats on a great photo.
