Þórsmörk (Thorsmork) is truly a magical place. Situated between 3 glaciers in a place of surreal beauty.
A very famous hiking trail, Laugavegur, leads from here to Landmannalaugar. |

First off: Happy birthday for Sunday, and Welcome to the small club of people who have photographed Iceland and New Zealand!
No doubt you've noticed how similar some of the landscapes in the two countries are, particularly if you've been to Fiordland in NZ.
Anyway, about this photo. Thing that strikes me immediately about it is that it could have been taken 1000 years ago, or even 1,000,000 years. There is absolutely no sign of human influence, and I half expect to see dinosaurs roaming around.
This is the unique nature of the Icelandic landscape, and you've caught it well. My only suggestion - maybe doing this as a long panorama would be better?

Hej Christian
Fantastisk udsigt, og gengivet godt på foto. Lidt misundelig, kunne godt tænke mig at se både Grønland, Island og Færøerne, men fruen vil kun til varmen, når jeg lige ser bort fra vinterferien i Østrig.
Great photo, brilliant POV Compliment - TFS.
Jens.
