Kaldalón Fjord
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Kaldalon is a 5 km long bay branching to the north from the large Isafiord Bay. One of the few glacier tongues of the only glacier of the Northwest (of Iceland), Drangajokull, flows down into the short valley at its end. The Morilla River is its discharge and gradually delivers silt deposits, which are filling it up.

Such beautiful and inhospitable landscape can't be forgotten so easily. The scene you show us here is very nice. The dramatic clouds on the sky and the low daylight help to create a nice mood of desolation. Nice soft colours on a few spots and the reflections on the water are a nice bonus. Thanks Christian :-)

Great shot of this remote place. Well done

Hi Christian,
Nice HDR work were the tonal range is wonderful. I do feel the photo lacks contrast, especially in the FG grass and mountain area. Photo could use some exposure adjustmensts as well. I do like the composition and POV.

A great picture of a great place... brings me back to this country.
I love the contrast between the colours of the grass and the colder yet subtle ones of the fjord and water. Interesting point of view.
Do not know about contrast etc as a beginner, but my feeling is that this is just the way that landscape looks like in its simple and grand beauty. And that sky...

Wow Christian; what an extraordinary vista this is. Here there is a strong mood of isolation in an uninhabited planet. The sky ,lighting exposure of the photo is wonderful ..awesome..... thanks ...Roman:0)
