UILLEANN IS THE GAELIC FOR ISLAND,UILLEANN PIPES PREDATE SCOTTISH BAGPIPES,THEY HAVE A MUCH SWEETER SOUND THAN BAGPIPES.THE UILLEANN PIPES ARE PLAYED USING A BELLOWS RATHER THAN BLOWING.THIS BUSKER WAS PHOTOGRAPHED IN GALWAY I THINK HIS BEARD ATTRACTED MORE THAN HIS PIPES.

I love the haunting sound of the UILLEANN PIPES.
First heard them by Planxty and was hooked on the spot.
Love all things Irish, Scottish and Celtic.
O, to visit Ireland some day...
