Critiques [Translate]

Hi Matt,
You've got some good images in your gallery, but this one doesn't do it for me. The composition is good and I like the format, but it is just a bit flat in terms of colour and looks a bit boring. A dramatic sky or some colourful sailing boats would have added to it.
I took a very similar photo a week ago. In person it was awesome, but I just couldn't capture the moment on camera. It came out flat.
Anyway, I guess some work and some don't.

I have to agree with Phil's comment. There's not enough to sustain interest here. You can sometimes get away with simple forms (sky, land, sea) like this when there is vivid contrast between the elements or an eye-catching detail to give it a lift. I suspect the panorama crop was meant to do that but it doesn't succeed I'm afraid. I hope you understand I wouldn't bother making this critique unless I felt you capable of very successful shots - I've seen some of them already. If not let me know.

Good placement of the water line, the sharpeness is there, its a good panorama.
Some sceneries might not be all that attractive to some but the important thing to remember is.. did it look like this to you, and if you took the trouble of shooting it then its good.
I think as a beginner you are doing great. When you think the colors of a scenery might not attract, try changing it to sepia or B&W

I agree with others about this shot, it is too flat on the landscape without any good feature and the water too. The wide view does not help in showing interesting part of the view. Perhaps a lighthouse or something would be a nice touch.

JUST LOOKING AT YOUS PIC IT COMES ACROSS AS BEING FLAT IT ALL HAS A BLUISH HUE.MAYBE YOU COULD DARKEN THE SKY WHITEN THE CLOUDS AT THE BOTTOM AND BRING UP THE GREENS AND BLACKEN THE CLIFFS THE PICTURE IS GREAT IT JUST LACKS DEPTH OF COLOUR
