What about a tighter crop ? Also to reduce the negative space in the right as the duck flying towards the left.

i think i have to agree with Yan - on the spacing aspect..
Also I'm thinkin a shallower DOF (with focus on the bird) may have helped it even better in this instance

good POV for an interesting BG, sharpness is OK, good colours and light, it may be better if the subject was entering into the frame instead of leaving it, but it's not an easy thing to do
