hi wojciech.
maybe john should ask helen to use this as a theme???? ;-)

it is always nice to see straw/hay bales in the fields. it is even better to see a good photo of them as well.

Hello, Wojciech.

Superb!

It is nice see these more traditional oblong straw bales rather than the big, more modern cylindrical ones which seem to be bound in some sort of plastic. Unfortunately, the big round bales seem to predominate in our part of Scotland.

Your lighting in this picture is just wonderful and it brings out the lovely autumnal yellows and browns which, of course, contrast beautifully with that lovely blue sky which is so full of mood and detail.

In fact, the detail and sharpness in this picture are both excellent - do you find the larger sensor of the 5D a great advantage over the smaller-sensor camera?

Best Wishes,

John.

P.S. Thank you for your appreciation of my picture - I hope we don't upset too many people by starting off a rush of pictures of straw bales!

Hello Wojceich,

Very beautiful shot. Sharp and well framed.
I am just guessing; how it would be if you took this shot wide angle? Giving more room the leading lines, and less to the sky?

Greetings,
I love seeing the hay bales in the field. A super shot with excellent shadows, colour all is this vertical format which works so well.
A clear day in Ireland--a treat!
Well done,
Joni

Wojciech,

beautiful shot ...I see that you have the horizon almost pat center, but that somehow takes nothing away from the pic.
I also wouldnt have minded seeing one in the landscape format with those lovely leading lines more prominent in the frame.
