When I stepped out of the door of my wife's mother's homestead in Ballynevin, near Carrick-on-Suir, near Waterford, Ireland, I was confronted by this congress of cows coming right up to me for a meet and greet...
Even though I asked them to step twenty feet to their left, so I might get them with trees right and left for this shot. Alas, it was not to be. Maybe next time.
When I came back from this trip, I took a print of this picture, blew it up a bit and framed it, hung it up in my office, and put a little title above it: Country Management Team. I fell short of actually assigning names of our management team to the individual creatures, but people came up with plenty suggestions.
I came across the original print this morning and scanned it in to a jpeg. TN management then proceeded to remove it as it goes against the rules of TrekNature. Hopefully it falls within the bounds of TrekLens, under the category - "how many cows can one technically fit within a panoramic close-up".
Just used a pretty basic ASP camera set to panoramic. No filters, although my nose could have used one at the time (was standing rather unfortunately downwind of these guys and they hadn't showered for quite a few days (weeks) - no tripod, no flash, 8 cows. |
