This shark was found as we took a walk along the beach. It was just lying there, so we were able to get quite close!

Actually, this big piece of rock is just as we found it,the limpets were living on the rock in the appropriate places, so it looked as if it had an eye and teeth.

Hope that you like it.
[No animals were hurt in the shooting of this shot!]

Thanks for looking.

Absolutely worth of few points. Maybe not because of the technical or artistic accomplishments. But the idea, POV and the note.

Very well noticed and you've found just the right direction to shoot. Photography should be also fun. TFS!

The thumbnail suggested a broken plastic doll... so this is a pleasant surprise. Very well spotted and captured, Jean. I'd consider cloning out the rock in the top left corner, but that's just a detail. TFS.

Fantastic !!! nice spotted. I have one question (just out of curiosity ) did you put the shell-eyed?? Regards

Wow that does look like a shark! At first I thought it was a shark washed up on the beach, but looking closer I realized it was a rock. Amazing how the shells were arranged exactly to make the small beady eye and the rows of teeth. Good framing and cropping to focus on the "head" of the shark, giving the illusion that it is one. Great clarity and sharpness, you can see the textures of the rock and the sand. Good use of available lighting, although I am wondering if this would be even more convincing with slightly higher contrasts. Great point of view to create the illusion too. Also good composition making sure the "eye" is off-center. I might have cropped slightly off the top edge to rid of the distracting part of a rock at the upper left corner. Really good shot though, TFS!

Hi Jean,

Amazing the things you can find on the beach. Very well spotted.

An excellent find Jean. I like the colours and the composition. I think the light in this case made it even more convincing. TFS,
David

Many thanks for your comment on ‘Elizabeth Arden’...te perfume is stunning but not overpowering Jean. Scent wise my favourite would be Helen Trauber(el)

Bonjour Jean,
I don't know this species of shark, it's necessary to thus give him a name I propose the JeanLuky shark. Firstly to discover it, there on this beach, to make this single POV in the world and to have survived a possible attack. Very amusing and almost realistic.
Best regards
Corinne

Hi Jean,
