For all the lovers of Irish literature - a sand-wall of
some of the famous irish poets:

Jonathan Swift (1667-1745)
George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950)
Oscar Wilde (1854-1900)
William Butler Yeats (1865-1939)
James Joyce (1882-1941)
Samuel Beckett (1906-1989)

This was captured during an "exhibition" of sand
sculptures at Dublin Castle.

A fabulous capture, Thor (and we are almost neighbours in the gallery today as your picture is posted two rows above mine!
I love the composition with the edge of the neighbouring building just in view

Hi Thor - at forst I wasn't sure about the corner of the building being included in the shot, but I think it helps by showing context, i.e. that we are in the city, not at the beach.

The crack top left and the semi-face top right appeal to me as much as the main faces. Interesting posting.

Hello,

great sharpness of this sculpture... like your POV to shows that there is still something at the back...

Cheers

Sehr gut Thorsten, mit allen Details.Erinnert mich an die Sandskulpturen in Travemünde.
Die Tigerchen warten auf dich:-))
LG Rose

Great capture, considering that these are so transient (the sand sculptures, certainly not the poets!)
Cheers

Hie Thortens,

Very fascinating art from Ireland. You certainly capture it from an angle that can show us the essence of the art.

TFS,
Hong
